The Silvertops on tour! I laugh a lot when we are out and about on the scooter.
When we first went on holiday to Greece 37ish years ago, we hired an off-road motorbike and travelled all over the island of Corfu, wearing just shorts, T shirt and no helmet. There were scuffs and scrapes along the way but we survived. Now, in our fifties, we are wearing gloves, helmets and proper shoes for our adventures, but we are still having the same fun.
I don’t feel any different to the teenager sitting on the back of that motorbike in Palaiokastritsa. The wind in my hair, the sun on my face and the possibility of death by crappy driver around every corner.
(I stopped worrying about that and live my life the best way I can every day).
We downsized and minimised our lives dramatically, so we could have time to change our lives, do something different, live somewhere new. It was worth it.
I met a wonderful guy last week. He said ‘You choose between money or time. Do I work longer into my 60’s to have more money? Or do I retire early and have more time?’
I choose time. It’s doesn’t come with a guarantee.
